As part of the transform! europe General Assembly in Vienna, we are pleased to host a keynote lecture by Ulrich Brand, Professor of International Politics at the University of Vienna.

In his talk, Professor Brand will analyse the current limits of capitalism and explore possibilities for the Left to transform hegemonic structures. The lecture will be followed by a discussion.
Together with Markus Wissen, Brand introduced the influential concept of the imperial mode of living. Their new book Capitalism at the Limit: A Political Ecology of a World in Crisis (Polity, 2025) will be released shortly before this lecture.
